BeWell webinars return with a dimensions of wellness theme

Weekly topics include focus on eight interdependent aspects of well-being, from physical to social and spiritual.

They’re back! Asante Health Promotion’s popular beWell webinars return early next month with a midweek “Wellness Wednesdays.” The series will explore the eight dimensions of wellness: occupational, physical, environmental, social, spiritual, financial, intellectual and emotional well-being.

The weekly webinars take place at noon from April 6 to May 25. To join, email Asante Health Promotion to get on the Outlook calendar invitation list, which includes the virtual meeting links.

Participants can earn entries into a prize drawing for a robust self-care package for taking on specific growth efforts related to these varied, yet interdependent dimensions.

The self-care package prize includes relaxing shower steamers, an inspirational quote mug, stress-relief tea, compression socks, scalp massager, fidget toys, stress balls, a yoga mat, a self-care journal with coveted Asante pens, intensive care hand cream, a beWell water bottle and more.

An adaptation of the Show You Grow challenge will be used for submissions into the Wellness Wednesday webinar self-care package drawing.

Those who want to take on the self-care ideas and track them for seven days will earn one entry per webinar topic with a maximum of eight entries per-participant. Submissions are accepted from April 13 through June 3.

Those who want to continue to track their self-care for 28 days may also submit entries for a quarterly prize of a $100 Tango gift card. Those submissions are unlimited and are accepted until Dec. 31.

Trackers for submission into the drawings will be offered during the live webinars. Participants can email their completed trackers to Asante Health Promotion.

Each 30-minute session will consist of a 15-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of discussion, questions and answers. The 2022 webinar series will be facilitated by internal and external Asante wellness professionals.

“Viewers can anticipate a variety of discussions,” said Kitty Sallas, a health educator. “We aim to inspire practical application of holistic wellness topics to take self-care routines to a higher level.”

The beWell webinars began in 2020 as a temporary alternative to the in-person education that was halted by COVID-19 restrictions.

They quickly grew into a full-fledged educational series resulting in over 70 webinars with a 97% satisfaction rating from viewers surveyed. The webinars are curated and available via this library on myAsanteNET.

Those who don’t have 30 minutes to view any single webinar can access a five-minute readable digest to get the gist of each topic. The 2022 recordings will be made available in the library by early summer.
