Asante Outlook debuts “report phish” button

The upgrade allows information security teams to better protect employee and patient privacy.

Coming this month,  the Junk mail feature in Outlook will be disabled in favor of ProofPoint spam filtering and Report Phish buttons.

The ProofPoint features allow greater visibility into reported, blocked and allowed messages. This helps ITS better protect Asante’s patient, employee and other confidential information. The Report Phish button triggers an automated response to determine if an email is phishing. If found to be malicious, the email will be removed from all other recipients.

If you need to add a sender to your block or allow list in the future, review the ALEC module, “Spam Digest: New Email Spam Filter Tutorial.”

To report a suspicious email, please use the Report Phish button found in the Outlook ribbon or in Outlook Web Access (webmail) near the reply buttons.
