Year-end deadlines loom for employees
If it seems like your calendar is full of reminders and due dates, you’re not imagining things. Employees face deadlines for a host of systemwide requirements, from flu immunization to employee education. To make it easier, we’ve put them all together.
Flu immunization or declination
Employees and medical staff are required to get a flu shot or formally decline by Monday, Nov. 30. Flu clinics and rounding are still taking place to make it easier to get the vaccine — and get your purple 2020-2021 badge ring indicating you’ve been immunized.
You can also get vaccinated at Asante Pharmacy, Asante Employee Health or anywhere flu vaccines are given. If you receive a shot outside of Asante, however, you must submit an attestation form by Nov. 30 to Employee Health, where you’ll receive your badge ring. Know Your Numbers
If you want to save between $208 and $650 on next year’s health plan premiums, you’ll need to complete Know Your Numbers before time runs out. This involves two steps:
- A biometric screening (a brief physical exam) through Asante Health Promotion or your primary care provider. The screening must be completed by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31.
- An online health assessment. Log into your MyChart account and complete the Healthy Lifestyle Assessment. This must be submitted by midnight, Thursday, Dec. 31.
Elements online learning
Asante’s mandatory online learning courses can be taken at any time of day, but all modules must be completed by the last day of the year, Dec. 31. To find the Elements training, go to the Web Based Apps folder on your desktop and click on ALEC (HealthStream). Or follow the instructions on myAsanteNET. Topics include HIPAA, Code of Conduct, corporate compliance, culture sensitivity, drug diversion, workplace bullying and more.
