Oct. 20: Pink Out for a good cause

Show your support for patients and staff affected by breast cancer.

Pull out your pink scrubs, pants, polo shirts, dresses, even boas and sunglasses. Friday, Oct. 20, has been declared a Pink Out Day at all Asante facilities.

Employees systemwide are encouraged to wear pink that day to support our patients and staff affected by breast cancer. (Sorry, folks, Asante dress code still applies — no blue jeans.)

Part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the 2023 Pink Out lands on the same day as The Human Bean’s 18th annual Coffee for a Cure, in which proceeds from beverage and pastry sales help fund cancer programs at Asante and other organizations.

So think pink, drink pink, wear pink — it’s all for a good cause: fighting a disease that strikes more than 250,000 women in the U.S. each year.

  • I have always supported The Human Bean for Coffee for a Cure. If you don’t know the back story, it started 18 yrs ago when an employee of Human Bean’s mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and her daughter wanted to do something more to bring awareness and this is how it all began. So please make this a day to patronize them as in one way or another we have all had family & friends who have been diagnosed with cancer.
