March 21: Blood drive in Medford

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 21. at the Epic Center, 701 Black Oak Drive, Medford. Employees are encouraged to schedule an appointment to donate by calling (800) 733-2767 or by visiting redcrossblood and entering the sponsor code Asante. If the schedule has filled for that day, employees may donate blood at any of the drives listed on the American Red Cross website.

“Donors can ensure people receive the critical care they need by making an appointment to give blood,” said Christina Martin, the local liaison for the Red Cross. “To help meet the needs of vulnerable patients, we have resumed testing all blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies for a limited time to identify potential units that can be processed into convalescent plasma. In addition, we hope our antibody testing program will provide our donors with valuable insight into their own COVID-19 antibody status.”
