Asante Contact Center to sell

Will be converted into a trade school.

The large beige building fondly known as the Asante Contact Center is being sold.

Located at 1321 Center Drive in Medford (next to the south Fred Meyer), the building is under contract to sell to the Medford School District 549C at fair market value. The school district plans to repurpose the property for a trade high school.

Asante Contact Center

Asante purchased the 50,853-square-foot building in November 2015 and renovated the property to serve primarily as a call center location for several departments, including Patient Access Support, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Cycle, Coding and Imaging Scheduling.

Over the years, Asante has used the building for various administrative offices, IT training, facilities equipment storage and disaster recovery uses.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a portion of the property served as Asante’s primary COVID specimen collection site for two years.

As part of Asante’s goal to improve space utilization and cost savings, remaining on-site employees will be relocated to other facilities near ARRMC, including options for shared workspaces on a hybrid basis, or work remotely from home.

Patty Kroloff will continue as director of the Asante Contact Center in its new location, which will open in the former Epic Center at 701 Black Oak Drive.

The sale of the Center Drive building will occur within the next 60 days with employees and facilities infrastructure and equipment relocated by the beginning of April.
