As COVID-19 recedes, employees are asking if printed Values in Action nominating cards will return to Asante campuses. In fact, the decision to discontinue paper cards preceded the pandemic as more employees, patients and visitors moved to smart phones and other digital platforms.
“Paper forms served us well over the years, but they were costly and labor-intensive to process,” said Robert Begg, vice president of Human Resources. “In keeping with how we communicate today, Asante has developed a more efficient electronic VIA system.”
That includes an online form accessible to anyone through Asante.org (under the Employees section on the home page) and on-site flyers containing a QR code that users can scan to complete their e-card. For those who do not have a smartphone, the flyers also provide a VIA hotline, (541) 789-5500, to leave a voicemail VIA.
New this year, contract staff will begin receiving badge appliques (blueberries) in addition to their VIA recognition.
