Tuition reimbursement deadline looms

Submit your expenses and other paperwork by Dec. 14 to get your reimbursement for the 2022 calendar year.

If you’re participating in Asante’s tuition reimbursement program, make sure to submit all documents, grades, statements and other required items showing class charges, payments and balances by Dec. 14 so that any reimbursements can be included in your final paycheck of the year on Dec. 23.

You can access the forms online. (You must be logged into the Asante network to access that website.) Reimbursements are paid out on the employee’s paycheck as a nontaxable item. You can access the tuition reimbursement policy and procedure on myAsanteNET, and find more information on myHR by clicking on the “Employee Support & Resources” link in the HR widget on the main page of myHR.

As a reminder, on Aug. 1 tuition reimbursement rose to $5,250 for eligible full-time employees and $2,625 for eligible part-time staff for certain courses — including undergraduate coursework, graduate coursework and certificate programs — for the calendar year.

If you’re applying for tuition reimbursement, you must submit your request for preapproval at least 10 days before the start of class. For reimbursement, you must submit documentation (receipts and grades) within 30 days of the completion of the classes.

Education and training that is eligible for the tuition reimbursement program includes tuition for classes, expenses for certifications or re-certifications, and exam prep courses. Other education and training ineligible for the tuition reimbursement program such as exam fees, BLS, etc. can be requested via other methods.
