Dates are set for Asante’s annual employee flu immunization clinics. Kickoff week runs Oct. 2–5 at hospital campuses with special clinics for staff working at the Contact Center, Epic Center and Heimann Cancer Centers in mid-October.

soon and published in Asante News on Sept. 19.
The vaccine also will be available through facilities rounding, Asante pharmacies, Asante Employee Health and any retail pharmacy. APP employees can receive the flu shot at the clinic in which they work. Note that COVID-19 boosters will not be offered in conjunction with flu immunizations.
Employees are required to complete a flu education module in ALEC/HealthStream by Oct. 31 and those declining the vaccine must submit a declination or medical exception in MyChart by Nov. 30.
Once flu season is declared, unvaccinated employees, medical staff members, volunteers, students and contractors are expected to wear masks in all Asante hospitals, APP clinics, outpatient services and pharmacies or wherever they are likely to interact with patients. This includes inpatient units, outpatient clinics, registration areas, reception areas, waiting areas, and elevators and hallways used for patient transport.
