Preventive care helps your health and your wallet

By scheduling a preventive exam you can earn contributions toward your Asante Health Plan.

Asante believes in the power of preventive health. By taking steps to improve your health now, you could be stopping a disease early in its tracks and preventing other conditions altogether.

Asante encourages you to make note of how you are doing in the following areas:

  • Eating a healthy diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Engaging in regular physical activity
  • Not smoking (or reducing your tobacco use)
  • Managing your stress levels
  • Getting regular health check-ups with your in-network provider

Did you know that you can earn contributions to your HealthEquity account if you get a preventive health exam? Whether it is an annual well visit, colonoscopy, preventive dental exam, vision exam or you are establishing care with a new provider, your visit can earn an incentive from Asante as a part of the Asante Wellness Program. This benefit applies to covered spouses too.

Eligible preventive medical exams will trigger for the incentive automatically. For a preventive dental or vision exam, please provide documentation to Asante Human Resources.

The value of the incentive varies based on which plan you are on. Those on the Asante PPO Health Plan will earn a $50 contribution while those on the Asante Savings Health Plan or the Asante Reimbursement Health Plan will receive a $100 contribution. Contributions will be made once your claim is processed and may take up to six weeks to show as an employer contribution in your HealthEquity account.

On the Regence Empower site (through regence.com or the Regence Empower app), there is also an online health assessment that is a great way to measure how you are doing with your health. Invest 10 to 15 minutes now to complete the health assessment and earn an instant $25 Amazon.com gift card.
