HR leaders accept new interim roles

Alicia Lorenz has been named acting vice president of Human Resources and Cassie Payton acting director of Employee Relations and Absence Management.

Their appointments follow the resignation of former VP Robert Begg, which was announced on May 15. Lorenz has served as director of HR Administration and Employee Relations and Payton manager of Employee Relations and Absence Management. Both assume added responsibilities on an interim basis as Asante evaluates the long-term strategy for the HR department.

Payton will support the department through ONA contract negotiations this summer, as well as the successful implementation of Paid Leave Oregon currently scheduled for this upcoming fall.

“Our Human Resources Department is vital to the culture of Asante’s organization,” said Win Howard, chief administrative officer. “We will continue to focus on making improvements related to Asante’s culture and core initiatives, such as employee engagement, recruitment, retention and maintaining competitive wages and benefits.”
