Preventing Snaccidents: World Tour 2023

This year, Health Promotion teams up with Nutrition Services to cook up healthy ethnic dishes.

The popular Preventing Snaccidents cooking series returns to Asante for the fifth year on June 5.

This year, the recipes and cooking demonstrations focus on cuisine from around the world. Asante health educator Tessa Hulse and Lisa Morales from ATRMC Nutrition Services cook up healthy meals and snacks from Italy, Greece, Denmark, Mexico and the United States.

As usual, video and downloadable recipes will be posted on the beWell Healthy Recipes page on myAsanteNET, which also has an archive of Snaccidents content from past years. And for the first time, the videos will be available in ALEC/HealthStream modules.

“No need to pack your bags for this trip,” says Hulse. “Join us this summer on our virtual culinary tour around the world.”

To receive notifications, email Asante Health Promotion to be added to the beWell distribution list. Participants who want to be entered into random prize drawings valued at up to $100 should email pictures of their international recipes to Health Promotion. Bonus points are given to those who source their ingredients locally.

We all have an inner autopilot when it comes to eating, especially when we’re hungry. You mean to have a green salad but instead you eat a whole bag of Cheetos. Oops — snaccident. To help you regain control and avoid these dietary slips, Asante offers this online recipe and demonstration series, Preventing Snaccidents.
