Cardiologists Timo Dygert, MD, and Nathan Funk, MD, explain the signs of heart disease, the latest treatments, prevention tips and how to live with heart failure – it’s not a death sentence anymore. There will be time for questions, too.
Timo Dygert, MD, is a cardiologist with Southern Oregon Cardiology specializing in invasive cardiology. He received his medical degree from Indiana University, where he he also earned a master’s in business administration from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
He completed his internal medicine training at Oregon Health & Sciences University and his cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He has a special interest in noninvasive imaging, including echocardiography and cardiac CT.
Nathan Funk, MD, is also a cardiologist with Southern Oregon Cardiology specializing in invasive cardiology. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed a residency in internal medicine at Oregon Health & Science University.
Before returning to Iowa to complete cardiology training, Dr. Funk spent a year in Alaska working for the Alaska Native Medical Center as an internist. During cardiology fellowship training, he has taken a special interest in cardiac imaging and valvular heart disease.
