As part of the Affordable Care Act, Asante is required to send all employees a document called a 1095-C. This document includes information about the health insurance offered to employees and their families. While the form is not required to file a tax return, it is good to have as documentation of health coverage for the previous year.
The IRS recently announced that, similar to past years, it would be extending the deadline for employers to distribute these forms to employees. With the extension, Asante now has until March 2 to deliver the 2020 1095-C form to employees.
A copy of the form will be mailed to all employees, and will also be available electronically on myHR. To access it, go to myHR and select “My Payroll Documents.” Then click “My 1095-C” on the left side of the page. Once it is available, you will see the 2020 form available to view.
