Employees give jobseekers the inside scoop
When it comes to drawing top talent to work for Asante, there are no better ambassadors than our own employees. That’s why Talent Acquisition is featuring staff members in a series of recruiting videos posted on the Asante careers site.
In the videos, jobseekers will learn:
- What it’s like to work for Asante
- What it’s like living in Southern Oregon
- How Asante cares for its employees
- Asante’s career opportunities
- Where Asante is heading
The series is a labor of love from the Talent Acquisition team, which is working hard to hire qualified candidates for hundreds of open jobs — many of them in clinical departments where competition for skilled workers is at a record high.
“It’s important we fill these positions,” said Jennifer Susi, director of Talent Management. “But it’s just as vital that we draw the kinds of job candidates who will cherish our Values and our culture.”
To that end, the videos offer an inside look at Asante’s culture, careers and life in Southern Oregon. Staff members may recognize Employee Health nurse Geneva Craig; Chief Nursing Officer Amanda Kotler; CNA Nick Gomez; radiation therapist Alec Back; nurse Jessica Lemon; lab manager Jacob Blair; Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety Holly Nickerson, DNP; radiation therapy supervisor Daniah Al Bicyclechi; and Robert Begg, vice president of Human Resources, among many others.
The videos were produced in-house by senior marketing consultant Cathy Noah and freelance videographer Jared Hail. The two spent a combined 200 hours interviewing, filming and editing to come up with five spots. Shorter versions will be posted on social media and in digital ad campaigns. The full versions also can be viewed on Asante’s YouTube channel.
“Besides our national reputation for quality, Asante’s greatest asset is our amazing culture,” Begg says. “These videos really capture that.”
