Behind great patient care are great nurses
This National Nurses Week, Jamie Grebosky, MD, thanks and honors our dedicated APP and Asante Health Network nurses.
This National Nurses Week, I would like to thank and honor our dedicated APP and Asante Health Network nurses. Your diligent efforts to support, treat and advocate for our patients is not unnoticed. It is because of our care teams are able to provide exceptional patient care.
APP and AHN nurses support our patients in so many ways. Recently they stepped up to support our community by operating the COVID-19 hotline. Their clinical expertise ensured patients received the most appropriate and safest care; along with providing education on self-isolation. Their hard work had a direct impact on the low prevalence rate seen in Southern Oregon.
Outside of COVID efforts, our APP nurses do a variety of work throughout our ambulatory clinics. They:
- Provide diabetes education and support
- Ensure patients receive hospital follow-up care
- Help in creating innovative ways to increase access
- Supporting our patients in care management by proactively setting patient-centered goals to promote better health
These are only a few examples of the type of efforts our nurses support. To every APP and AHN nurse, thank you.
