Asante Pharmacy brings employee perks

Working for Asante has its benefits, including discounts on medications and a host of other perks for employees and patients. Asante’s outpatient pharmacies in Medford and Grants Pass offer the following:

Free vaccines

The pharmacy offers vaccines for shingles, pneumonia, flu, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis A and B, HPV, meningococcal B.

A pharmacist can help determine what immunization you might be due for. Vaccines are free to Asante employees and their family members covered by the Asante Health Plan. Pharmacists can provide vaccines to anyone age 7 and older.

Cost savings

Employees using the pharmacy can enjoy:

• A 90-day supply of medications for the price of a 60-day supply.
• Significantly reduced co-pays.
• Payroll deduction for prescription and over-the-counter medication purchases, including Sudafed.
• An employee discount of 20% on medications not covered by insurance, over-the-counter medications and medications for your pet.

Refill service

Pharmacy representatives provide refill services for customers on three or more medications for long-term medical conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. The pharmacy staff will synchronize all medication refills to be due at the same time and will call when the prescriptions are due to be filled.

Specialty medications

Asante is the preferred pharmacy for specialty medications. It will work with you, your provider and the insurance company to ensure you get the most cost-effective medication in a timely manner.

Home infusion

The pharmacy offers IV antibiotics at home for patients on long-term therapy.

Enteral

The pharmacy provides formula and supplies to those needing additional nutrition by pump or bolus.

Bedside delivery

For patients being discharged from ARRMC or ATRMC, the pharmacy will fill and deliver medications to you in the hospital before you leave.

Oncology services

For patients at the Heimann Cancer Center, the pharmacy provides oral oncology medications and other medications prescribed by the oncologist to help with care and healing. In Grants Pass, Asante Three Rivers Outpatient Pharmacy will provide this service.

Employees enrolled in MyChart can also request medication refills directly in the app. The pharmacies are located in Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass and at 2900 E. Barnett Road in Medford, (541) 789-5850.
