What to do if you think you might have COVID.

I have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, what do I do?

If you have been exposed but have no symptoms, proceed with your schedule at work. If you show symptoms after exposure, tell your manager you need to go home. Get tested and contact Asante Employee Health for further instructions once results are in.

My kids are sick, should I get tested?

Unless your kids have been exposed or tested positive and you are showing symptoms, then yes, you can get tested.

My spouse tested positive for COVID-19, do I need to get tested?

Unless you are showing symptoms, testing is not required.

My department is short-staffed. I don’t feel well but I’ve been working, should I get tested?

Regardless of the staffing situation, if you have any symptoms listed by the CDC, please stay home. You will need to call Employee Health for further directions on your situation.

My manager advised me to come into Employee Health because I don’t feel well, I need to be seen.

Do not come into the clinic if you are not feeling well. Please go home and call Employee Health.

I have tested positive for COVID-19, what do I do now?

You will then need to schedule a phone visit with Employee Health to be cleared before you can return to your department.

I’ve already had COVID-19, but I’m not feeling well.

Follow the policy with testing guidelines based on symptoms.

I can’t get through to Employee Health but have left a voice mail. Should I have my manager send an email?

Employee Health is experiencing significant call volumes. We are doing our best to get back with each employee, so please refrain from leaving multiple voice messages and sending emails. We will get back to you within 48 hours.

I am returning to work after being under the care of another provider. Do I need to be cleared by Employee Health before going back to work?

You will need to have a clearance letter provided to Employee Health and as well as an appointment to clear you back to work based on the letter received. You cannot return to your job unless Employee Health has cleared you.
