An update on Scott Kelly’s medical leave

Scott has decided to extend his leave to receive ongoing medical care.

You’re aware that Asante’s president and CEO Scott Kelly has taken a temporary leave of absence. He anticipated his leave would last about three months (from October through December).

Scott recently shared with the Asante Board of Directors and executive team that he is extending his leave as he continues to seek medical care.

With the Board’s support and approval, I am honored to continue in my interim role for the immediate future helping to advance Asante’s projects and budget activities.

Also in January, Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center will experience a temporary transition of its chief executive officer. After five years leading ARRMC, Mick Zdeblick is leaving the organization for an opportunity in Ventura, California.

Interim CEO Joe Austin will start work at ARRMC on Jan. 2. Joe is a highly experienced health system leader who will assume all of Mick’s responsibilities during this transition.
