Oregon Wine Experience breaks fundraising record
The 2022 Oregon Wine Experience broke all records this year, bringing in 3,000 guests and raising $2.2 million for children’s health care through Asante Foundation. The event took place at a new venue, Stage Pass, after two years in an all-virtual format.
On top of the $2.2 million raised, Southern Oregon Cardiology committed a $1 million paddle raise during the Miracle Auction for AsanteForward, the foundation’s ambitious capital campaign.
“We’re so grateful for our sponsors, participating wineries, culinary partners and volunteers who make this event a success,” said Andrea Reeder, vice president and executive director of Asante Foundation. “We couldn’t have this event without the Oregon wine community — more than 100 wineries contributed to Oregon Wine Experience this year.”
The Oregon Wine experience helps patients like young Miles, whose brain tumor treatment took him away from his rural farm and his dog for days a time. (Video below.) With help from The Children’s Miracle Network, he’s now getting treatment close to home. He was so grateful for the care he received, he rallied his 4-H club to donate to The Olsrud Family Women’s and Children’s Hospital being built in the new patient pavilion.
The five-day event included wine tasting as well as multiple auctions under a 38,000 square-foot tent amongst the vines. The 2023 event dates will be available soon. For details on competition winners and to learn more, visit the Oregon Wine Experience website or call (541) 789-5025.
