APP Spotlight Award: Connie Van Matre
Great care starts with valuing the patient as a person.
At APP, excellence is at the heart of what we do. Connie Van Matre, a patient service representative at Asante Urgent Care in Grants Pass, goes the extra mile for her patients and coworkers, which earned her this month’s Spotlight of Excellence Award.
Connie understands the stress and discomfort urgent care patients experience due to their illness or injury. She employs various tactics to make patients feel comfortable and at ease, such as reassuring them that they’re in good hands, acknowledging how they’re feeling and treating them with respect.
Her positive attitude and calming presence are appreciated by her co-workers and patients alike. Please join me recognizing Connie Van Matre.
This award is granted to an APP employee who has improved access to care, quality of care, financial stewardship or Asante’s behavioral standards.
Recipients receive a hand-written card from the division director, a cafeteria gift card and the opportunity to share what they do to contribute to APP’s high standards of care.

High school can be a stressful time and if it wasn’t for Connie I never would have gotten through it. Love to you Conald. I’m glad you are appreciated as you should be.
