Email warning tags to change

The current single warning for external emails will be replaced by seven versions based on the potential threat.

On June 1 the warning banner on external emails will be getting an upgrade. The yellow warning banner will be replaced with dynamic warning banners and a “report email” button.

The new banner message will change text and color based on the content of the message. The new system will contain seven versions, ranging from mild (“This message is from an external sender”) to strong (“This message may be unsafe.”) The aim is to prevent users from clicking on a potentially malicious email.

The new “report suspicious email” link will allow you to report the email from web mail, Outlook or a mobile device.
