RVTD offers free shuttles, new fire emergency routes

Shuttles go from Jackson County Expo to Central Point and Medford, and a new emergency route travels from Medford to Ashland via I-5.

Rogue Valley Transportation District has changed its emergency routes to serve those displaced by the fire. Free shuttles from the Jackson County Expo go to the following locations:

  • Central Point Albertson’s and Goodwill, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Transportation from the Albertson’s bus stop is also available to the Expo if needed.
  • South Medford Goodwill and WalMart, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Transportation from the bus stop to the Expo is also available if needed.
  • 173 Ehrman Way, Medford, 1 to 6:30 p.m. Masks, bags and bus passes have also been provided to the Expo.

Both TransLink and Valley Lift are available to provide accessible transportation in the community for those evacuating, returning home, shopping, food boxes, etc.  These will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

RVTD has also set-up Emergency 1X Express Routes traveling from Medford to Ashland via I-5 due to the Highway 99 Closure. Please see the schedule for the 1X and the Ashland Loop routes.
