Resources to help care for the caregiver

As you care for others during this pandemic, don’t forget to care for yourself. Asante offers resources to help.

It’s been said for the past 18 months, and it’s never been truer than right now: We’re living in unprecedented times. All of us are living with stress, anguish and uncertainty. During these times, Asante resources are available to help you through it.

Employee Assistance Plan

Asante’s Employee Assistance Plan benefits are available to help with issues that you and your dependents are having. Asante’s EAP is administered through Uprise Health (formerly Reliant Behavioral Health).

The EAP provides counseling, financial help; child care; adult and elder care; work/life balance webinars on resilience, stress and anxiety; and more. Uprise has more than 280 providers in Southern Oregon. EAP is completely confidential and is offered to all employees and their dependents at no cost.

To access, call (866) 750-1327, or go online. Once there, click on the box that says “RBH” and use the access code “Asante.”

Employee Health Plan

If you and your dependents are enrolled in one of the Asante Employee Health Plan options, additional counseling services are available for mental health and more. Co-pay and coinsurance amounts can vary based on your plan option.

To learn more, go to the employee benefits page on Asante.org or Regence.com. You can also call Regence at (888) 344-8235.

Online support sessions

Asante’s well-being team is offering free CARE (Connection, Awareness and Resilience) sessions. These are designed to help you step out of your day, decompress and take a moment to practice healthy coping. Facilitators are trained in peer support and emotional first-aid skills.

The sessions are available for all health care personnel, including frontline staff, providers, volunteers, students and non-employed providers.

Sessions will be held over Microsoft Teams. Visit Asante News Online for schedule and meeting links.

Grief and suicide prevention

In the darkest times we need the most help. If you’re feeling suicidal call the Suicide Prevention Hotline, (800) 273-TALK (8255).

If you need help working through grief, Winterspring Grief Support offers support groups for adults and youth, grief resources and more. Call (541) 552-0620 or visit the website.
