Couldn’t see a dentist? You may get a partial premium refund

With dental offices shut down during COVID-19 restrictions, patients were forced to delay their dental care. MetLife, the company that administers two of Asante’s dental plans, will refund a small portion of premiums.

Dentist ThumbnailWith dental offices shut down for routine appointments during COVID-19 restrictions, many people were forced to delay their dental care. MetLife, the company that administers two of Asante’s dental plans, recognizes this hardship, and will be refunding a portion of the premiums paid for the dental coverage back to Asante.

Because of this, Asante employees enrolled in either the dental core plan or dental buy-up plan through MetLife will get back 25% of what was deducted in April and May. The refund will be applied to the June 12 paycheck, and will cause no premium to be deducted from that paycheck. Other deductions will not be affected.
