ARRMC employees should avoid using Medical Center Drive near the Cardiovascular Institute for about three weeks starting Thursday.

New water service taps and an underground vault are being installed just north of the kitchen dock entrance in preparation for the 323,600-square-foot pavilion, which will begin construction in November.

Crews have been installing a new water line along the entrance off Black Oak Drive and are a few days ahead of schedule, project managers say. They will be doing some preliminary work today and Wednesday and start construction in the road on Thursday.

Flaggers will be in place to keep the road open and prioritize emergency vehicle access. The project is expected to be complete by June 30.
