Since April 6, a small work group of Health Promotion staff and interdisciplinary experts has been developing a series of webinars to support Asante employees during COVID-19. The webinars cover such topics as stress management, nutrition, resilience, sleep, social well-being and more, including employee resources.

All half-hour recordings — plus five-minute summary versions — are available on the beWell intranet page. The brief versions are so people with time constraints can still benefit from the topic of each webinar.

What started as a short-term project in response to the pandemic in late March has taken on a life of its own. Many experts inside and outside of Asante have volunteered to facilitate topics. Webinars are currently scheduled to run into June. Anyone who has seen one or led a webinar can attest to how beneficial they are.

BeWell webinar organizers are still recruiting for interesting new topics and facilitators, which must support the emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, occupational or social dimension of wellness.

A facilitator guide is available to give you more information about using WebEx technology, the format of the two 15-minute portions of each webinar and a template for the summary version. Shea Quinn is happy to run a test before your live webinar to ensure the technology is working correctly. PowerPoint is optional. For experiential webinars that involve instructed movement, facilitators need to provide copies of their credentialing certificates and liability coverage.
