Asante staff, patients and visitors will see the first physical signs of Asante Rogue Regional’s planned 323,600-squarefoot pavilion when a new water line is installed this month.

A trench will be dug along the Black Oak Drive entrance and flaggers will be at the intersection between Black Oak Medical Plaza and the Cardiovascular Institute. The first phase of this work is expected to begin May 18 and last through June 9.

The line will provide more volume and balance water pressure for Asante Rogue Regional in preparation for the $420 million pavilion, which is set to start construction in November.

Two trees that are nearing the end of life on the north side of the Smullin Center will be removed to make way for the new water line.

In June, a portion of Medical Center Drive (which runs between Barnett Road and Siskiyou Boulevard) will be blocked for about a week as new service taps and a vault are installed just north of the kitchen dock entrance.
