Urgent Care to become Asante Immediate Care in Grants Pass
Patients and staff members needing medical care for non-life-threatening illness and injury in Grants Pass soon will be able to receive same-day walk-in care at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center Immediate Care, a new clinic that replaces Asante Urgent Care. It opens on Jan. 5 at the same location in Asante Outpatient Center. Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. The Asante Urgent Care location closes on Jan. 2 to prepare for the transition. During the closure patients seeking medical attention are advised to contact their primary care provider.
The new Asante Immediate Care will be an outpatient department of the hospital. This means visit costs will be billed as a hospital service and subject to health insurance deductibles, so out-of-pocket costs may vary. As part of Asante’s commitment to transparency, patients will receive a cost estimate before service.
Providers in Asante Immediate Care treat the same conditions as urgent care, including respiratory ailments, sore throat, earache, sprains, allergies and other non-life-threatening medical events. Patients who present with more severe illness or injury will be transferred to the Emergency Department and will not be billed for an Asante Immediate Care visit. The newly remodeled space will now allow the immediate care to accommodate patients with respiratory ailments, not currently in scope for Asante Urgent Care.
Employees on the Asante Health Plan will receive a 60% discount for on-site imaging and lab services.
Asante Three Rivers Medical Center Immediate Care is not an emergency department and is not appropriate for patients or staff members with emergency medical conditions. Those with an emergency medical condition should seek treatment from the ATRMC Emergency Department.
