Asante Ashland is expected to close one of its two main entrances today, Oct. 20, until further notice. Entrance 1, located down the hill from the primary entrance above, will be closed, and employees, patients and visitors routed through the Emergency Department or Entrance 2 at the top of the hill.
The move eliminates the need for screeners at all three entrances. Patients needing to access first-floor services such as wound care and the Family Birth Center will be guided from the main entrance on the second floor.
Employees are expected to park on the lower level parking area. ED parking is reserved for emergencies only.
