The past year has been a challenge for many people, and when things aren’t going our way, it can be hard to notice the good around us. However, the simple act of expressing gratitude can be a great way to boost your mood.
Focusing on joy and appreciation, instead of things you’re lacking, can help shift negative thoughts into more positive ones.
Gratitude doesn’t need to be for material things or huge events. It can simply mean being grateful for opening your eyes in the morning, feeling the sun on your face or laughing with a friend.
If you’re struggling, the myStrength Expect Less, Appreciate More activity can help. Go to mystrength.com or download the myStrength app from your mobile device’s app store. If you’re signing up for the first time and prompted for an access code, enter 10017473.
If you have any questions, email Asante Benefits or call (541) 789-4551. You can also submit a case in the Ask HR section of myHR.
If you have a question, please contact the author or relevant department directly.

Some of us in the office are anonymously leaving sticky notes on co-workers screens with positive affirmations. “You are amazing”, “you’re a super hero” and drawing little hearts…. It has been nice to get a sticky note! 🙂
