Vaccination eligibility expands on Monday

People age 45 to 64 with underlying health conditions and those affected by the wildfires may now receive the vaccine, among other groups.

As Oregon reaches a major milestone of 1 million people vaccinated for COVID-19, new segments of the population are eligible to receive the vaccine. Beginning March 29, people age 45 to 64 with an underlying health condition may receive the vaccine along with other groups, including those affected by last September’s wildfires and pregnant women 16 or older.

Underlying health conditions may include cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD, heart conditions, Type 2 diabetes and obesity.

The state of Oregon is distributing vaccines in phases to ensure supplies for those with the highest need. Appointments for the COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinic can be scheduled through MyChart or by calling (541) 789-2813, Option 2. No walk-ins allowed.
