The beWell webinar series is returning, with a twist
Asante Health Promotion’s popular beWell webinars return next month, but this time participants can earn rewards for applying what they’ve learned.
The 2021 series, which begins April 5, has 14 new webinars planned offering tools, hacks and support covering a timeless variety of wellness topics.
“Viewers can anticipate a variety of truly valuable wellness topics with an added incentive layer,” said Kitty Sallas, a health educator. Webinar presenters will come from the patient experience team, Human Resources, Asante Physician Partners, behavioral health, Regence, Livongo and more.
Discussions are planned for stress management; nutrition; ergonomics; mental health; equity, diversity and inclusion; social well-being; sun safety and skin cancer awareness; hormones; digital addiction; and more.
Each session will once again be 30 minutes, consisting of a 15-minute presentation with 15 minutes of questions and answers.
The beWell webinars began last April as a temporary alternative to the in-person education that was halted by COVID-19 restrictions. They quickly grew into a full-fledged educational series resulting in over 60 webinars with a 97% satisfaction rating from viewers surveyed.
The webinars were curated into a library on myAsanteNET, and select videos have appeared on the public-facing Asante.org for the community to enjoy. Those who don’t have 30 minutes to view any single webinar can access five-minute readable “cliff notes” to get the gist of each topic.
New for 2021
The webinars will be offered weekly instead of daily, at noon on Mondays from April 5 through June 28. An “action step incentive” has been added to boost relevance and engagement. At the end of each webinar, viewers will be encouraged to take an action step to try for five days in their own daily wellness, using the topic of the week.
Those who email Asante Health Promotion with a written update explaining how they applied what they learned will be entered into two prize drawings — one valued at $75 and another at $100. Those who cannot attend on Mondays can view the recordings from a new 2021 beWell Webinar tab within the existing webinar library on myAsanteNET. Entries will be accepted until two weeks after the series ends. Deadline to submit entries is July 12.
Those interested in viewing the live Monday webinars must email Asante Health Promotion to get on the Outlook calendar invite list, which includes the WebEx links.
