Spirit of Service: They came, they helped, they won

Twenty-eight Asante employees gave back to their communities last quarter through volunteering.

With the pandemic easing, our lives have gotten even busier. So it’s all the more impressive when employees take time out of their schedules to give back to the community. Twenty-eight employees volunteered over 900 hours Jan. 1 through March 31.

Spirit of Service

Five employees were chosen from a random drawing to win 12,500 points from PointRecognition:

  • Emma Cornejo, ARRMC Inpatient Rehab Unit
  • Jessica Dearinger, Pre-Service Patient Access
  • Hannah Deter, Patient Accounting
  • Russ Hearing, Hospice Services
  • Jennifer Hepler, Asante Foundation

The winner of the random new-participant drawing for 12,500 points is Jammie Unger, Coumadin Clinic.

Volunteer service qualifies for the program if it’s done for a local school, church, city council, police or fire department, ambulance service or a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency within Asante’s service area.
