Robert White’s role expands at ATRMC
Robert White, director of Nursing at ATRMC, adds oversight of the Emergency Department and the hospital’s trauma program to his responsibilities. As nursing director, White oversees the medical/surgical and critical care inpatient units as well as the staffing office and float pool. Staci Sparks, vice president of Nursing for Asante, announced his expanded role on June 30.
White has been with Asante since 2012, when he joined as an ECG tech. He went on to graduate as a respiratory therapist and cross-trained to all clinical areas. As an RT, he was instrumental in integrating ventilators into Epic. This experience encouraged him to earn a bachelor’s in nursing, after which he worked as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit.
White went on to become the manager of ICU, IMCU and float pool, where he led the opening of the IMCU.
In his free time, White enjoys family game nights, building things with his hands and weekends in the water. He loves spending time with his family and diving into the hobbies of his three children.
“Please join me in welcoming Robert to his new role,” Sparks says.
