Open enrollment continues through Monday, Nov. 15

You have until 1 p.m. to change your health plan, update dependents, enroll in an FSA and more.

Open enrollment for the Asante Employee Benefits Plan takes place Nov. 1–15, giving you a chance to change your benefits.

Once again, Asante will hold virtual benefits fairs, allowing employees and their covered spouses to chat live with members of the Asante benefits team as well as medical, dental, vision and voluntary benefits vendors. No appointment is necessary for the benefits fairs.

What’s new for 2022

New next year is the Asante Healthy Living Program, which allows you to earn money for your health expenses. This program replaces Know Your Numbers and does not require a biometric screening. Instead, those who complete a Personalized Wellness Plan can earn up to $400 (and up to $250 for enrolled spouses) to be deposited in your HealthEquity account, along with opportunities for other wellness incentives.

Also new is biofeedback coverage in all health plans and added coverage for palliative care. Naturopathic, acupuncture and chiropractic coverage is now included in all plan options. Under voluntary benefits, Asante is offering hospital indemnity insurance. This covers unexpected out-of-pocket expenses if you end up in the hospital, including copays, deductibles and out-of-network charges as well as everyday living expenses.

All employees are encouraged to re-evaluate their benefit elections annually to make sure their needs are being met. Open enrollment is passive, which means you’re required to participate only if you want to:

  • Enroll or re-enroll in a flexible spending account (FSA)
  • Make changes to your current benefits
  • Add or remove eligible dependents from coverage
  • Cash out earned time off (ETO)

Details about plans, pricing and more have been mailed to your home address.

All enrollments will be self-service via myHR and must be completed by 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15. If you don’t participate in open enrollment your current benefits elections and covered dependents will automatically roll over to 2022. The exceptions are FSA elections and ETO cash-out, which must be reelected each year.

The Asante benefits team is available virtually during open enrollment to help you make your benefits elections on myHR.
