Get your pink on Friday, Oct. 22, in support of our breast cancer patients. For the third year, Asante employees at all facilities are encouraged to wear pink scrubs, polo shirts, pants, sunglasses, hats — whatever you’ve got — in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Oct. 22 is also The Human Bean’s 16th annual Coffee for a Cure. Proceeds from that day’s beverage and pastry sales go to Asante and other organizations to help fund preventive scans for early detection and support patients with expenses while going through treatment.  The donated funds are allocated to the patients who need financial help the most.

Coffee for a Cure has raised $2.2 million from 90-plus locations throughout the country and helps fund an average of 145 mammograms per year in Oregon alone.

Money raised at local Human Bean franchises stays in the community. So think pink, drink pink or wear pink for a good cause — fighting a disease that strikes more than 275,000 women and 2,000 men in the United States each year.
