More paycheck? No problem
Because Asante pays biweekly, employees get the gift of a third paycheck this month with no deductions for health savings or flexible spending accounts on Friday’s check.
Asante employees enrolled in benefits will see fewer deductions on the Oct. 30 paycheck. When there are three paychecks in a particular month, the third paycheck will not have all of the deductions. This is because the deductions, with the exception of the retirement plan contributions, are on a semi-monthly schedule. This includes deductions for the flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings account (HSA).
Employees who have met the requirements also will not see the associated wellness discount (earned by completing the Know Your Numbers program) or Premium Assistance (given based on hourly wage and medical coverage level) earnings on that paycheck, as those correspond to the medical deduction. Deductions and any associated earnings will resume with the Nov. 13 paycheck.
