Miracle Jeans Day breaks fundraising record

More than 1,000 employees took part in Asante’s annual employee giving campaign.

Every staff member at APP–Family Medicine, Black Oak, participated in Miracle Jeans Day.

Miracle Jeans Day gives employees the chance to donate directly to children’s health at Asante and celebrate the cause together by wearing jeans or sporting their MJD swag.

This year, more than 1,000 employees participated to raise nearly $150,000, all of which will benefit children’s health care programs and facilities at Asante.

From employees who had first-hand experience with children’s health issues, to those who simply knew that kids deserve the best, it was heartwarming to learn each employee’s reason for giving.

“Children deserve miracles, not diseases — we can help, so we do!” was the passionate response of one donor. Another shared that their wife is going through cancer treatment and “can’t imagine a child going through this.” Others praised Asante’s patient-centered care and that 100% of the funds raised stay in our local community.

Many had encountered Asante’s compassionate pediatric care with their own children and recognize the importance of coming together to support this cause: “If one less child suffers, donating is a small price to pay.”

A special thank you to all MJD captains who led their department’s fundraising efforts and helped MJD reach this impressive total.

Congratulations to the following departments who achieved 100% participation for MJD: APP–Orthopedics, Grants Pass; APP–General Surgery, Grants Pass; APP–Ear, Nose and Throat, Grants Pass; APP–Endocrinology, Grants Pass; APP–Family Medicine, White City; APP–Family Medicine, Black Oak, Medford; APP–Neurology, Medford; APP–Urology, Medford; APP–Family Medicine, Murphy Road, Medford; APP Physician Services; APP–Behavioral Health; Asante Payroll; Decision Support.
