As new senior leaders assume oversight of various departments at AACH, they first want to hear from employees. To that end, a series of listening sessions will take place on the campus in the coming weeks.
The purpose is to learn about the hospital’s culture and find out what’s working well, which areas can be improved.
“One important element of our continued success is to understand what’s on the hearts and minds of our teams,” said HR’s Trisha Olsiewski, who will help facilitate the sessions. “It’s clear that the hospital has encouraged open lines of healthy dialogue and communication. We’d like that to continue.”
The format follows similar successful listening sessions held at APP in 2019. That effort resulted in greater teamwork, sharing of best practices and better organizational problem-solving.
Starting next week, employees from throughout AACH will receive a meeting invitation from their supervisor for a department-specific listening session. Sessions, which will take place either remotely or in person if physical distancing allows, will be scheduled throughout the summer. Staff members are encouraged to make it a priority to attend.
