Volunteers give so much of their time and hearts to every department at Asante hospitals and cancer centers. Asante would like to recognize one outstanding volunteer for 2022 who stands out for their overall leadership and contributions during the past service year.
“The importance of volunteers to our hospital cannot be overestimated,” said Lorry Shlitter, volunteer supervisor for Asante’s Jackson County entities. “This award recognizes the outstanding service from a volunteer whose unselfish and dedicated work has made a significant difference in our community and mirrors the commitment to success in our professional ranks.”
Volunteer Services is asking employees to recognize a favorite volunteer serving at Asante Rogue Regional, Asante Ashland Community Hospital or the Mary and Dick Heimann Cancer Center for service or behavior that exceeded your expectations and reflects Asante’s Values. (ATRMC volunteers work with the Auxiliary, an independent group with its own recognitions.)
Volunteers provide a range of services at Asante hospitals and the cancer center, donating hundreds of hours of their time. You can download the nomination form by clicking the button below or fill out the paper form displayed in your facility. While you’re there, feel free to leave a note on the posters placed throughout the hospital to let our volunteers know you care.
The deadline to nominate the Volunteer of the Year is March 31. The winner will be recognized at the annual volunteer celebration on April 20, which will be attended by Asante leaders and other volunteers.
“Thank you for helping all of our volunteers feel appreciated for the service they provide,” Shlitter said.
