As part of a new, ongoing series, Asante News features leaders who have recently joined the organization or employees who have been promoted to a manager, director or executive position.
April Church was recently promoted to ARRMC’s manager of Clinical Nutrition Services from her previous role as supervisor. She has been with Asante for a little over four years. She came to us from Brookestone Meadows, a skilled nursing and rehab center in Nebraska, where she was a culinary coordinator and clinical dietitian.

Childhood hometown: Lexington, Nebraska
How co-workers describe her: “Dedicated to patients and devoted to the team.”
Who inspires her: “My dog, Tikka. She views the world with a smile, loves all kinds of people and is attentive to people’s needs. She has taught me what it means to have empathetic joy.”
Last book read: “Reacher,” by Tom Clancy.
What she wanted to be when she grew up: Pharmacist.
Most unusual past job: Lifeguarding.
On her bucket list. “To obtain board certification as a specialist in pediatric critical care.”
Food she can’t live without: Sushi.
Little-known fact: She’s left-handed.
