While everyone is focused on COVID-19, it would be easy to forget about flu season.
To make sure Asante is doing its part to reduce the incidence of seasonal flu, employees are encouraged to get this year’s flu vaccination. Plus, it pays!
Our organization’s collective immunization is included as a measure in PEAK. This measure is worth 20% of the PEAK incentive, or $200 for a full-time eligible employee. That’s if we reach our goal of 90% of employees vaccinated.
Currently, we’re at 79.7%. That means 621 employees still need to get the flu vaccine by Dec. 31 to reach 90%.
Getting vaccinated early makes a difference. Asante employees get vaccinated to ensure herd immunity within our facilities and assist in getting our communities to that level as well.
If you haven’t already, please get immunized against the flu and encourage your coworkers to do the same to help prevent a “twindemic” in our communities.
You can get a flu shot at most pharmacies for free if you’re on the Asante Health Plan, including the Asante retail pharmacy.
The PEAK measure deadline for receiving the flu shot is 12/31/2020.
