Get your flu shot (and other vaccines) at an Asante pharmacy

For most non-COVID immunizations, Asante’s outpatient pharmacies are a quick alternative to a doctor visit.

Vaccinations are especially important to prevent the spread of infections to those who can’t be vaccinated themselves. This winter, please do your part and get immunized today to keep yourself and the community healthy.

Asante outpatient pharmacies in Medford and Grants Pass offer a range of vaccines, including those for tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap); influenza; shingles; and hepatitis A and B.

A pharmacist can help determine what immunization you might be due for. Vaccines are free to Asante employees and their family members covered by the Asante Health Plan. Pharmacists can provide vaccines to anyone age 7 and up.

Asante employees can get 90-day supplies of medications for the price of a 60-day supply and a 20% discount on over-the-counter items or medications not covered by insurance.

Asante employees who receive their flu shot at an Asante pharmacy can also get their 2021-2022 badge ring indicating they’ve been immunized. The deadline for this season’s flu shot is Jan. 24. The pharmacies do not offer COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters, however. Asante primary care clinics are offering free COVID shots by appointment.

Asante pharmacies are community partners in health. Over the past two years, pharmacists have volunteered their time at mass COVID vaccination events at the Jackson County Expo and at the Community COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in the Epic Center. Recently, pharmacists began holding Shingrix clinics at the Rogue Valley Manor and have offered the flu vaccine to St. Mary’s High School staff and students.

Outpatient pharmacies are located at 2900 E. Barnett Road in Medford, (541) 789-5850; and inside Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, 500 Ramsey Ave., Grants Pass, (541) 472-7420.
