On Monday, Asante Rogue Regional moved its main entrance to the south side of the campus (Entrance B). Entrance A is closed. Please be patient and kind as we progress through construction of our new patient pavilion. And keep a sharp eye out for patients and visitors who need help.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions by curious and sharp employees.

Q: Is the new entrance going to be open 24/7?  The reason I ask is that we have patients arriving for surgery at 5 a.m. and we need to know where to direct them.

A: Hospital Entrance B is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. After hours, people can access the hospital through Hospital Entrance C by the Pear Blossom Café.

Q: I’ve heard employees are not allowed to come in Entrance B. Only visitors and patients. There are a lot of staff, including myself, who come through this door early.

A: Entrance B will be the main entrance for anyone to access, including employees. But there will be no general employee parking in the south lot.

Q: What about handicap parking for employees?

A: Handicap parking spots on the south side are open to employees. Some employees noticed the spaces were missing last week, but that was because of a misunderstanding by the crew who striped the parking lot. The spots since have been restored.

Q: Can you help clarify if the physician parking stickers are different than the red ones currently being used, or can we continue to use the old ones?

A: The old red stickers will work fine. Anyone without a parking sticker — red for physicians, blue for other employees — can get one at the ARRMC Security Office or from Asante Talent Acquisition.

Q: Which parking lots are open to employees?

A: All of the new parking garage (P1) and the surface lots west and south of the Smullin Center are for employees. Just this week, the third and fourth floors of the P2 garage (near the Smullin Center) also have been designated as staff parking. Signage is coming.

We’ve published a parking map on this site. You can access it here. Staff parking is shown in purple.

Q: Can employees use the new shuttle service?

A: Shuttles are running every 5 to 10 minutes, 24/7, from the P2 parking garage to Hospital Entrance B and the Emergency Department. Patients will be given top priority. The shuttle will be available for employees after hours to and from the new P1 parking garage. Read more about the shuttle and how it’s being sanitized to protect against COVID-19.

Q: When parking in the new structure for employees, what entrance will we be allowed to enter?

A: Your best bet is to enter off Siskiyou Boulevard on the north side of the P1 parking garage. The south side entrance is being used mostly by Imaging valet and there are a lot of construction trucks going back and forth there.

Q: What’s the best way to enter the hospital from the P1 garage?

A: You can walk on the sidewalk down Murphy to the Family Birth Center and enter there. A new employee entrance is being built just past the front door to the FBC and is expected to be complete by Oct. 16. The door was delayed in shipping.

Q: Is the new entrance going to be a badge-in door for the employees to enter?

A: Yes, you’ll need to use your badge to access that door.

Q: Are they planning on making the Siskiyou parking entrance bigger? Right now it is partly blocked off by construction.

A: The Siskiyou entrance to the garage will be bigger once the addition is done; unfortunately, there’s nothing they can do about it now. The addition is set to open in March.

Q: Is there is a link on the public-facing Asante web page that I can give to patients on the most up-to-date information and parking map?

A: Yes! Here it is: https://www.asante.org/patients-visitors/construction/ You can also access it by going to asante.org, clicking on the drop-down menu “Patients & Visitors,” and clicking on “Construction updates.”

Q: Is there someone I can call if I have questions or concerns throughout the construction?

A: You bet. We’ve got a hotline — (541) 789-6626 — where you can leave a voicemail with your questions and concerns. We’ll get them addressed and get back to you.

Today, 9-22-20 I was denied access to the 3rd or 4th floor of the P2 garage for staff parking.: Security had no knowledge of this exception.

Is there any way to get this info to our security ?
