Employees can now refer potential job candidates online
With nearly 900 open positions, Asante is stepping up its recruitment efforts. The labor shortage was acute even before the state and federal COVID-19 vaccination mandates took effect, causing more than 220 employees to leave the organization.
Asante Talent Acquisition’s referral program has now expanded the number of bonus-eligible positions to nearly 200 — for everything from registered nurses to housekeepers. Employees who refer successful applicants to any of the designated job openings could earn a bonus between $250 and $2,000.
To qualify for a bonus, the referrer must be an active employee and the job applicant must be unknown to Asante. That is, the person can’t be previous applicant or candidate, former employee, student, traveler, etc. The bonus is paid after the applicant is hired.
Bonuses for nonclinical positions range from $250 to $500 for each successful placement; those for clinical roles are between $500 and $2,000. Bonuses are subject to taxes and fees.
“Employee referrals are a key strategy for recruiting,” said Tami Garcia, a talent consultant with Asante. “We want to know who our employees know and who they think would be a good fit for Asante.”
To refer, employees are encouraged to complete the online form on the employee referral website. The site is linked from the top of the careers page on Asante.org. Applicants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 to qualify for employment.
