Earned-time-off accrual maximum suspended for now

Due to staffing shortages and the recent surge in COVID volumes, employees whose ETO exceeds the maximum allowed do not need to “use it or lose it” for the rest of this year.

Effective immediately through Dec. 24, the ETO maximum accrual rates will be lifted. Due to the critical staffing needs at all Asante facilities, we have made the decision to provide an exemption to the ETO maximum accrual rates.

We hope this will allow staff to not feel pressured to take ETO or lose ETO accruals as we address the influx in patients and continued capacity issues. During the time of the provision, all other policy language remains in effect.

As we near closer to the December deadline, we will communicate next steps to all employees. Thank you for all you do.
