April 3-7: Employee Engagement and Communication Fair

Save the date for Asante’s first all-virtual fair featuring 18 executive speakers and reps from 15 Asante programs.
2023 EECF

The Employee Engagement and Communication Fair returns this year with a new format and a stellar lineup of presentations.

The fair takes place entirely online April 3–7 to accommodate all of Asante’s 6,000 employees, including those working remotely. For the first time in years, the fair is separate from Health Care Week, which takes place the second week of May.

“This is a chance for all of us to come together, if only virtually, and focus on what matters most to employees,” said Robert Begg, vice president of Human Resources.

In acknowledgement of the events of the past three years, the engagement fair’s theme is “Recover, Reconnect, Reimagine.”

Let’s Talk noon forums are scheduled daily and feature 18 Asante executives, who will update employees on Asante projects and answer questions live.

A special webpage will serve as a virtual “conference room,” with presentations, videos and interactive activities from 15 Asante departments and programs. Attendees will be able to chat live with representatives from Employee Relations, Paid Leave Oregon, employee retention, employee benefits, Values in Action, ABIDE and many more.

The fair’s live events take place at specific times, but recordings will be posted for later viewing. There also will be handouts available to download.

As a special treat during the fair, the VIA team will unveil the new badge level at 3 p.m., April 3.

The link to the fair’s webpage, along with links to each of the presentations and forums, will be posted on Asante.org, Asante News and Asante News Online later this month. In addition, look for posters and flyers with a QR code that takes you directly to the fair page.

“I hope that all employees can attend live or watch the recorded presentations,” Begg said. “We’re eager to hear your experiences and ideas to improve Asante and to share all the incredible things Asante is doing as we recover from the pandemic.”

I hope the VIA badge reveal is done with a presentation to the first recipients.

      Hi s,
I assume you mean the virtual nature of this fair. The fair is taking place online so that all Asante employees, including those who work in remote locations, can attend. However, Health Care Week celebrations in May will return to Asante campuses. We’ll be sharing more on that observance in the coming weeks. Also, we start planning these events months in advance, so we were not sure if we would be able to hold more typical in-person events yet when we needed to decide which type of event we would hold this year. Based on feedback like this, we will likely have additional in-person opportunities to connect with our Asante teammates thoughout the year.
