Beware of recent texting scam

Scammer poses as an Asante executive leader.

Share:

We are aware of a texting scam targeting some employees by someone falsely posing as Amanda Kotler, Asante’s chief nursing officer.

The scammer tries to initiate contact via text from (509) 934-8043, or possibly other phone numbers, to get employees to send financial information.

Please do not respond or provide any financial information.

Here is what we know:

text
  • The scammer poses as Amanda Kotler via text message. (Be aware the scammer may use other Asante senior leader identities.)
  • If the employee responds, the scammer states that they “need you to do something important for me ASAP.”
  • Posing as Amanda, the scammer states they “want to surprise some of the staff” with gift cards and seeks your financial information.

This is a scam. Please be vigilant. Asante’s executive team members never will ask employees for financial information via text.

Please direct any questions or concerns to Asante’s HR or Legal teams.
