At AACH, she helps hold it all together
If you’ve spent anytime at Asante Ashland you probably met Darcy MacLeod. She’s administration guru, the newsletter writer, the meeting wrangler, the presentation maker, the executive scheduler, the poster putter-upper and a host of other duties too long to list.
So it follows that she is one of the few single individuals to earn a PEEEC prize from the hospital’s Patient Experience and Employee Engagement Committee. The team, which dons tie-dye shirts when presenting the award for exemplary service, typically honors a department. As executive assistant to hospital administrator and VP of Medical Affairs Steven Hersch, MD, however, MacLeod is the department.
She was recently presented with a PEEEC certificate along with a “puzzle” plaque that said, “You are the piece that holds us all together and we are endlessly grateful. Thank you for all you do and for who you are. You make a difference!”
MacLeod was commended for her dedication to fostering a compassionate and collaborative culture at AACH while always making others feel important and valued. The PEEEC team acknowledged her for her kindness and helpfulness, and for always being there to navigate whatever comes up.
